Crow’s feet

Crow’s feet are fine lines that show up on the outer corners of our eyes. They resemble the feet of a crow–hence the name. And though perhaps unwanted, they’re perfectly normal to experience as we age.

What are crow's feet?

There are many types of fine lines and wrinkles and a name for almost every type we may experience on our face. An all too familiar–but not untreatable–type is, of course, crow’s feet.1

Where do crow’s feet come from?

Over time, our skin loses elasticity, and its structure begins to change.1 These changes, along with a life filled with smiling, laughing and expressing our emotions, make us prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

Unfortunately, these lines can make us look old, sad, tired or angry, regardless of how we feel. What’s more, such a disconnect between how we look and how we feel can have an impact on our self-confidence and overall quality of life.1,2

Crow’s feet treatments

The good news is that treatments are available to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet and make you feel like yourself again. By temporarily relaxing the facial muscles, these treatments help restore a youthful bounce without making you look frozen.2
